Value; and Why It Matters so Much in Life- Safayk

One of the very secrets to a life well lived, is understanding what holds value. This is a big acclamation, but it is true. This is true in the sense that it corresponds to many or almost every aspect of life whether personal, educational or spiritual.

I, personally feel like there are so many out there (mostly young) whom always rant on about  or speak passionately about what living a good life is about. Although many different kinds of people have different views about this topic, I do feel like we should all consider the element of value.
If we don’t hold value for anything, we may find ourselves “meaninglessly” going about life. Yet, when we hold value in something whether that is religion, culture, a job, a particular study, a family member or close friend, we start to see how everything falls accordingly into place.
This applies to every situation, small or big. There are many opinionated people out there whom constantly put you down or are judgmental about everything you do, and in today’s world, many seem to tell you to shake it off or willingly not care about what others think. But this is just not true!

We are humans, we do kind of care sometimes. We might want to seek the advice of others or are curious of what others think about us, it is true. Yet now think about value! Applying the aspect of value to these type of situations, makes  us think; “Does this person in front of me hold value in my life?” “Does his or her opinion change anything in my life?” “Do I genuinely enjoy spending time with them or hear them speak?”  Were the answers to your questions NO? Then, understand that this person does not hold value. Their opinions and words do not matter, therefore you are best and healthiest listening and being nice to them regardless.

Aside from all that, there are many in life whom do hold value in our lives, and it is up to you to figure that out. You may develop a healthy relationship with your dad and mom and you have to instantly grasp onto that and cherish it. Their opinions may make it or break it for you. You might think that their opinions and their words hold value, and this doesn’t mean that it has to hold sentimental value. So now compare the person who might have let you down with the person who held value. You feel and see the difference?
There is a lot of issues in the world and only a fraction of that belongs to the small issues we have in day-to day life as a result of inability to interact and understand. Understanding what value is, is a type of interaction. We are breaking down on what it is that really matters to us and what does not. If we all were a little more aware of our situations, circumstances and people maybe life can be a little more well-lived.
So, what holds value in your life? Let me know....
